I started coding as a very young girl… I grew up on a farm and my dad is an engineer. He’s pretty nerdy, as am I, and he always bought us the latest new computer (it’s important to note that he would not spend a penny on cable TV). This was back before computers were even a thing.. So, my brother and I were kind of drawn to it.. there really wasn’t anything else to do but read or play soccer outside!
You can easily keep track of your objects and variables when storing or accessing them through using specifically named instances that begin with the @ symbol, known as an instance method. It makes me happy to know that I can build little methods that later will be used in other methods and at the end of the work– it all fit together like a nice little puzzle.
Just starting out again after a nearly 10 year haitus from coding.. It seems like its a passion that will not let me forget how much I love and care for it.. I went to school for my MFA and yet, I still returned to coding.
